Tiger 7 Control
A pioneer and leader in 3D CNC controls, Sharnoa takes power, performance, and flexibility to new heights with Tiger 7. The unique features of Tiger 7 are a result of 25 years of development and improvements of the Tiger's motion control methods and algorithms. In addition, by utilizing the most modern electronic and computing solutions available and incorporating the latest in digital system technologies, Tiger 7 is the most powerful control on the market today.

Tiger 7 is a PC based control featuring open architecture design. Its Windows 98TM operating system and true multi-tasking capabilities provide more production by allowing background editing and next job preparation while the machine is busy, milling. The ample-sized CPU and massive hard drive compliment any CAD/CAM system. By using Sharnoa's own, built-in DNC technology it will run the largest programs directly from the hard disk without experiencing the data loss or starvation found with conventional data transmission that can cause inaccuracies and poor surface finishes while high speed machining. Additionally, it offers the latest in communication and networking technologies to make file transfer problems disappear

With Sharnoa's exclusive PC Tiger 7 control, a totally integrated system is easy to operate, easy to upgrade, and easily keeps you ahead of the competition! The PC base allows for upgrading to the most modern up-to-date advanced technology - without the necessity and expense of new machinery. With the most modern electronic and computing solutions and incorporating the latest in digital motion technologies it provides the built in power, performance, and flexibility needed in today's competitive market.

Tiger 7 offers state of the art motion control servo technology allowing for fast block processing time less than 1 millisecond per block. The digital servo drives are the most modern available contributing to the smooth axis motion.

A high-speed axis control card with an on board Digital Signal Processor executes 32 bit floating point control loop calculations, allowing Tiger 7 to use sophisticated servo control algorithms that produce high accuracy at increased feed rates.

In addition, using a technology called "feed forward" Sharnoa has developed a motion control system that virtually eliminates following error. By incorporating "look-ahead" and on-the-fly feed rate control, Tiger 7 automatically adjusts the feed rates based on the contour of the work-piece. This also eliminates undercuts and overshoots allowing point-to-point CAM generated programs to be machined accurately at up to 400 inches per minute (geometry dependent).
